The Galveston Economic Development Partnership (GEDP) is a non-profit, partnership of public entities, private corporations, and individuals committed to the facilitation of economic development for the benefit of the whole community. Our members recognize and appreciate that the Partnership will not always be supportive of any one member's perspective.

The questions we ask ourselves when considering issues, prior to taking a position (if any) or developing a work plan on any given issue are:

• What does the local substantiated economic data tell us about the specific issue?

• Given the best available data, what is the preferred course of action that will most likely result in the greatest economic benefit to the community?

In some circumstances the GEDP will develop and present a complete and objective economic development impact analysis on a given issue and leave it to others to use that information to make informed decisions.
