Welcome to the Galveston Economic Development Partnership (GEDP) Web Page. The GEDP is a private, non-profit 501(c)(6) organization that is membership based. The mission of the GEDP is to utilize broad-based community support for the expansion of Galveston Island's economic and tax bases. Founded in 1999, the GEDP works to facilitate new projects and/or investments across Galveston Island. Through our Public-Private membership base, the GEDP is available to assist in providing demographic, socio-economic, GIS, and economic information for your use.
As Galveston emerges from the affects of Hurricane Ike on September 13, 2008 - the GEDP maintains an active database on recovery and reconstruction efforts for our business community.
